At Bury BJJ , we wholeheartedly believe that good environmental management is not just a necessity but also a responsibility we owe to our planet and future generations. Recognising the impact our actions can have on the environment, we are deeply committed to integrating environmentally friendly measures into our management strategies and operational procedures.
We pledge to provide our patrons with the best training opportunities while striving to minimise our environmental footprint. Our commitment extends beyond compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Wherever possible, we aim to exceed them, creating a gym environment that truly aligns with our environmental principles.
Just as we train our gym members to strive for excellence, we aim to set and achieve the highest possible standards for our environmental performance. To achieve these objectives, we commit ourselves to the following strategies:
Partnerships: We will actively work with our strategic partners to adopt and implement best practices in environmental management.
Waste Management: We recognise the detrimental effects of single-use plastics on the environment. As such, we strongly discourage their use within our premises. We’re committed to recycling as much waste as possible.
Resource Efficiency: We are proud of our stance as an unheated gym, greatly reducing our energy consumption, carbon emissions and foot print. We will continue to find ways to make our premises more environmentally friendly.
Environmentally Friendly Targets: We commit to setting challenging targets aimed at minimising our environmental impact. These goals will be regularly reviewed and updated to keep us at the forefront of environmental stewardship within our industry.
Monitoring and Auditing: We will carry out regular audits of our environmental activities and performance, using the data collected to inform and improve our ongoing strategies.
Continuous Learning: We believe in learning from experiences – both our own and those of other organisations within the leisure industry. This belief will help us to continuously refine and enhance our environmental best practices.
